Today, we continued editing our pages, and adding more pages if we haven't finished adding our concert, CAS week or Oscars page. I added and edited pictures from the internet on my website on the suitable page. My website works fine, and all the button except for the CAS week button works.

I think today was quite fun because we were able to make hyperlinks, from one page another. We created different sites, like an oscar site, a concert site and also a CAS week site (even though I didn't have time to finish it). We duplicated our homepage to make other sites and we edited the other sites to make it look different.

19th May 2009

Today, we used Dreamweaver to create a website of our own. We got created buttons and created tables to put pictures in. We also learnt how to colour in tables and how to put text in. In addition, we learnt how to make the table have no borders.

I thought this lesson wasn't too hard, because Dreamweaver was a easy program to use.

Diary Entry: 5th of May 2009

Today, we learnt the basics of making a website. We learnt how to make a basic page, how to change the text styles, how to split lines, how to add hyperlinks, making a title to a page, and lots more, like changing colours. We also compared how using notepad to make htmls takes much less space than using it in Microsoft Office, though, making it in Microsoft Word, is a lot easier. With the same amount of infomation, Mircosoft Word used 23.7 Kilobytes while using notepad only took 268 bytes.

Today we used xara to complete our teacher in a box, in my box I put pictures of two teachers. We had to complete our box because next week we are switching to food tech

Today, we cropped out 2 teachers of our choice from the 5 that were in the folder in Photoshop. And we used a box from the folder and decorated it with Xara.

It was quite fun using Xara to make a background and experimenting with some tools because there were lots of tools that was useful in making shapes and adding extra effects on the shape. After creating a background we had to use Photoshop to paste Mr Cottam on the background.

Today we learnt how to use some basic tools from Photoshop, such as the magic wand, the polygon lasso tool etc. It was quite fun playing around with the tools to create a final picture where we crop out Mr. Cottam from his office background to a holiday background.
